We have just finished our writer’s workshop. A very eclectic gathering of people from Seattle, Tacoma and Oregon with 2 long distance attendees from England and British Columbia. We love informal workshops like this where we get a chance to share not only our knowledge but also our home and even the produce out of […]
Today we hosted a luncheon for our Celtic planning group. At one point we stared discussing spiritual formation and the most effective ways of accomplishing this. Since then I have been thinking about not only how I accomplish spiritual formation in my own life but how I assist others to move closer to God. Most […]
Today we went raspberry picking. In spite of the fact that we picked what has been the hottest day I can remember in Seattle (98 degrees), we had a wonderful morning and for me a very welcome break after spending last night working on the MSA budget (never my favourite job.) This has become part […]
This morning I have been working on our budget for The Conspiracy Lives! What in the World is God Doing? which will be helpd here in Seattle February 28, 29 and March 1st. I find myself struggling with some of the same issues I did before our last conference. My deepest struggle is with how […]

But now, as part of our Wedding Season, we discover how green is the new white. ” Read more […]

Today I picked the first tomato of the season. It was only about 1″ across but I carefully cut it in half and shared it with Tom. The flavour was incredible… a promise of wonderful things to come (I hope). I love this season of the year and makes me realized why when God completed […]
Over the next few days we will be extending a lot of hospitality to friends. Tomorrow we are cooking BBQ for our small group and July 4th we are holding a kingdom celebration with about 25 people attending. I thought that I would share one of my favourite hospitality prayers with you. It is attributed […]
I just heard about a pastor whose spouse is so stressed out that they live different states and get together once a week – presumably to remind themselves that they are still married. I have often heard of married couples in high profile secular jobs that live like this but I am horrified to think […]
I just realized looking back through this blog that it is a long time since I mentioned any of the books I have been reading, which is rather surprising since I read 4 – 5 books a week. Maybe the problem is that I have been dipping into a number of rather of uninspiring books […]
